Back What is the garden caddy?   a combined portable garden work-seat, toolbox, and maintenance unit. the project was designed for the RSA design competition, design for all ages. a lifestyle product. What does it do?   stores garden tools, garden seat with integrated neoprene kneeler relieves the user of carrying heavy toolboxes and garden rubbish. carries garden rubbish from the garden. early concept presentation the problem design a garden unit that alleviates the following problems: storage of all tools needed for gardening, carrying of heaving garden tools or garden waste. the solution a friendly garden unit, capable of carrying tools and garden waste to an from the garden shed or garage, provides an integrated work-seat / kneeler the unit also has a bin-liner frame, which hold the bag in an open position for easy access. final design concept panel  functionality     here you can see some details of the garden caddies' design features: storage space in the lid, bin-liner frame for use when pruning and using the unit as a seat.   click an image to enlarge (opens in a pop-up window)   copyright © 2004 -2008
