The purpose of drawing
and sketching |
| |
I have provided a broad
selection of relevant sketching, concepts, storyboards
and developed or presentation concepts to demonstrate
the various types and uses of drawing in my work. |
| |
|
 |
storyboards |
| |
images 3 - 5 inclusive
are of quick storyboards used to plan multimedia
projects. This technique is a useful way to quickly
prototype scenes and action at the earlier stages
of a project. |
| |
mobile phone concept - quick form study |
 |
developed concepts? |
| |
Images 6 - 9 inclusive
show a range of some developed concepts. A slightly
higher degree of finishing is required, generally
for presentation to clients and or further detailed
design. |
| |

non-lethal weapon - technical concept
|
 |
quick sketch concepts |
| |
This method of concept
presentation encourages a quick free-flow of ideas,
usually at the start of a project just after the
research phase. Quick concepts provide a way to
record a possible direction, assisting me to explore
alternatives or evolve a particular design concept
further. (5-10 minutes) |

|
| Below are some samples
of my sketch work. from 1-minute concept
sketches or storyboarding to more detailed
product design concepts, different styles
are applied depending on the purpose
of each sketch. |
